Ashley’s post: Finding purpose through peer research
Ashley is one of the peer researchers involved in the project and offers a brief reflection on stepping into the project, what drew him in, and what keeps him engaged in the project:
“I have found this project incredibly rewarding, and it feels meaningful to be helping the cause with MS and research. The experience has given me a sense of peace and purpose, especially after setbacks in my own working life, and it’s been valuable to feel useful again. I’ve particularly found it interesting to learn how others manage their conditions, which has helped me reflect on my own personal development and growth. The networking aspect has also been a real positive. Being involved in this project has also sparked in me a new desire to further improve myself and perhaps venture more deeply into the research field, which is something I hadn’t previously considered.”
