MS Society research and wellbeing day event

Sharifa attended the MS Society’s Research and Wellbeing Day in East London on Saturday 28th June, held at St Joseph’s Hospice in Hackney. The event brought together people living with MS from diverse ethnic backgrounds to learn and connect.

Organised by the MS Society’s London Regional Officer, Samsam Abdullahi, the event highlighted the importance of participation in MS-related research and promoted a range of wellbeing-focused support services. Attendees had the opportunity to engage informally with researchers and learn more about current studies.

Sharifa delivered a presentation on key findings from this project, alongside Rawda Adan who shared her personal journey of taking part in the project and provided reflections on being involved in shaping research from a lived-experience perspective.

The audience also had the chance to meet and chat with Peer Researcher Lauren Hopkins.
